Age Suitability
Slate is for organization-managed workspaces age 13 and older.

Slate runs on the web, on iOS, and on Android. Accounts belong to invited or approved workspace members. Each organization controls who may access its workspaces and what those members may do.
Audience
- Minimum audience
- Slate is for organization-managed workspace members age 13 and older.
- Main audience
- Most Slate accounts belong to employees, volunteers, contractors, staff, and approved collaborators.
- Children under 13
- Slate is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create or use Slate accounts.
- Family use
- Slate is not a Kids category app and does not contain family entertainment.
Google Play and App Store notes
Slate includes user-generated workspace content, account sign-in, messaging, file uploads, media links, camera or microphone access when a user joins Meet, and optional location access when an organization enables time tracking.
Google Play target-audience answers should not include children under 13. App Store Connect age-rating answers should include Slate workspace messaging, user-generated content, file uploads, media links, and organization-managed access controls.
Workspace content
- Workspace members can create messages, posts, cards, comments, meeting notes, pages, files, images, audio, video, and hosted media links.
- Workspace content is controlled by the customer organization and the roles assigned inside each workspace.
- Slate does not include public social discovery, dating, gambling, loot boxes, third-party ads, or creator payments.
Access and safety controls
- Organizations invite or approve members before they access private workspace content.
- Administrators manage workspace membership, roles, permissions, and content removal.
- Operating system controls govern camera, microphone, photo, notification, and location permissions.
- Concerns about account access, workspace content, or mobile app behavior can be sent to Slate support.
Teen users and organization consent
Organizations that invite teen users must obtain any required notices, consents, and permissions before those users access Slate. Where local law treats an older teen as a child, the organization is responsible for the required consent and supervision for that workspace.
